Castles for lodging??

I'm planning a trip flying into London, chunnel to Brussells, to Brugge and ending in Paris. I would appreciate any leads on <BR>'castles turned inn' for lodging in any of these areas or regions we'll pass through. <BR>Any ideas? Haven't found anything in guidebooks on this idea.

Kristen, this is an easy one. Fodor's Hotels and Country Inns of Character and Charm - in France. So many chateaux you'll have a hard time choosing. Available for other countries too. Many on this site also recommend Karen Brown's series.

Kristine - <BR> <BR>I'm not sure what your budget is, but, they do have a book at the bookstore (last time I saw it, it was at Barnes & Knoble), called something like Dream Sleeps... <BR> <BR>It was mostly about castles that have been turned into hotels. You might also check out Amazon.com. <BR> <BR>Gook luck!

Try Eastwell Manor (1069 manor house) at Boughton Lees or Wallets Court at St Margarets at Cliffe. Not castles but country houses. And great food.
