Castle in Scotland

Looking to spend an inexpensive night in a castle near Glasgow or Edimbourg.
Is it possible? Any suggestions?
Thanks

It's doing it again! I posted this 2 hours ago and it's disappeared!!!

Inexpensive castle is an oxymoron (maybe Fodor's zapped this because they thought that was libellous?)

However all choices can be found on

http://www.castles.org/Chatelaine/accomm.htm

where Joanne Mckenzie-Winters has put together a fairly exhaustive list.

If you go to Edinburgh, stay at the Dalouise (spelling?) castle. I spent two nights there in '92 and enjoyed it.

I also spent two nights at Dalhousie this past September and would highly recommend it. We spent two great relaxing late evenings in the Library, good sandwiches, drinks and coffee.
