CAsinos in Zurich

It is my understanding that three casions
are to be in Zurich. One near the Zurickhorn beleive is already open, the
second on the area near the Splugenschloss
Hotel close to the lake and the third in an
area just north of the Bahnhof. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Richard good evening!

Bad news for you:
The "Casino Zürichhorn" is a restaurant and a convention center!
I live a couple of blocks away from Hotel "Splügenschloss" (nice) and there is no casino either. But I recommend the hotel for a Sunday brunch, anyway.
North of the Bahnhof is a new attraction called "Schiffbau" (theater)with a restaurant called "LaSalle". Very hip and trendy, but no casino.
We might eventually get some casinos. One is planned north of the train station but farther out. The Swiss Government has set up the necessary law. But do not expect them to be open before a couple of years.
Closest places from Zurich are probably Bregenz/Austria or Konstanz/Germany.
Sorry to tell you that.
Best wishes from sunny (it was, yes) and warm Zurich.

Good evening, Ursula
Thank you very much for your reply, have
follow swiss casinos for some time but
for some reason there is limited information on those in or around Zurich. We have been to those in Lugano, Berne,Thun, Interlaken, Luzern,
Weggis, over the last few years and you
also ones in CH, in Arosa, Herisau, Brunnen,Biel, Saxon, Gstaad, Locarno. Baden, Geneva, Davos, St. Moritz, Schaffhausen, Rhinefelden, Appenzell,
Engelberg, Sarnan, Montreux and Bad
Ragaz. We had used the Splugenschloss
a number of times in the 70's and 80's and found it an above excellant hotel.
Thanks for your reply.

Ursula and Richard: Decided tonight to visit Zurich first two weeks in October. Would like to travel to France or Italyas well as seeing some of Switzerland. Any suggestions on itinerary would be helpful. We like exploring, beautiful scenery and great restaurants. Thanks so much for your help!

I'm a bigger fan of northern Italy and French alps than Switzerland, but you can make a great itinerary of all three.

Zurich to Lucern, to Altdorf, to Lugano, to Menaggio (on Lake Como) to Milan, to Turin, across the Queyras to Grenoble (take your time doing this), to Geneva, with time along the way for Annecy/Talloires.

Or dozens of variations on this theme.

Best wishes,
