Casares or Arcos
I will be staying in Mijas Costa for a week. As for my White Towns tour I am trying to choose between Arcos and Casares. If I am not mistaken Arcos is a lot bigger name than Casares, but is the extra driving really worth it, specially considering the fact that I will definitely visit Ronda. Any advice related to this will be highly appreciated.

Arcos is indeed a lot bigger but I found Cásares to be equally beautiful.

If you don't mind the driving, the scenery on the way to Arcos is really beautiful but you will see that anyway when you drive from Mijas Costa to Ronda.

Here's a link to my pictures of both white towns:
Cásares: http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.125633/article/185/48/19/
Arcos: http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.125633/article/185/48/30/

Enjoy Andalucía !

Thanks Myriam. Looks like I will just stick to Casares, which I think should be able to visit by taking a detour on my way back from Ronda. Trying to visit Arcos and Ronda on the same day could be way too hectic. Thanks for all those nice pictures.

I agree with you that Ronda and Arcos in one day will be too much. Ronda deserves a day in itself. When in Ronda don't miss the Palacio de Mondragón. This is a museum in a former arabic palace. It is not that important for its collection but the palace itself is worth seeing. It has various patíos in different styles, arches and arcades, a beautiful garden and a terrace overlooking the valley.

Myriam: The viamichelin website have the Palacio de Mondragón listed as two star attaction. After reading your post I am putting it on my must see list for Ronda. Thanks.
