Carte Orange or Mobilis

I've tried to wade through all the Carte Orange postings and I'm sure I'm just dim, but I have to ask. We arrive on a Thursday and leave on the following Wednesday, so it is probably not cost efficient to buy the CO, as we will not be able to use it on the Friday & Saturday? Is the Mobilis an good option? Thanks very much!

The Mobilis is certainly a good option if you use it enough, otherwise it isn't. I think it's about 5,3 euro for all day bus+RER+metro in zones 1-2, so that's pretty good. Some folks don't use it that much as they just walk around a lot and buy carnets.

Nothing is written in stone as to what is a good option for everyone because it depends how much you use it. It's just math -- find out the cost and know your own patterns and how much you like to use public transportation. People obsess over a few euro cost on Paris metro ticket options or passes more than about anything else, it seems, and it really doesn't matter that much about one option vs. another.
