Nonsense. I wear a waist belt with the pouch at the back. It is not at all obvious, and any thief would have a very hard time cutting the strap without me noticing. And given that I wear pants, not skirts, it wouldn't do him much good. Now if you're talking about neck pouches, I entirely agree.

I am still curious about how you carry your passport IN your bra - it certainly wouldn't fit in the bra wallet. Perhaps you are much more well-endowed than average?

My travels this summer were hot. Credit card was in bra as usual. Other valuable stuff was locked in my hotel. I bought bottles of water along the way when the need arose!!

Thursday, I'm just wondering whether to do a Corsica and Sardinia TR but thinking there may not be much interest here....??

Yes, I am cooler than you, suze. I would be bored sh*tless spending every vacation in Puerto Vallarta or wherever it is that you go in Mexico.

But that aside, if you really want to know, just Google Bra Wallet and you will see an assortment of options, even for the not very well endowed.

As I said, it is the passport and the credit card, maybe a spare $50, inside, tucked into the side of the bra extending under the arm. Women all over the world do it.

Not that I think any of this discussion is for the purpose of actual edification.

Still can't figure out how you carry cash and your passport in a bra though.

I think she slips in between the strap and her skin where the bra goes under her arm.

Gertie, please do a TR, we go to Corsica often but there s a distinct lack of detail on Fodors about this wonderful place. Off for our 5th visit in a few days time....

Also the only things I carry in my bra are the things it's designed too

there is no need to buy water in Europe. In most countries it is perfectly safe to drink tap water wherever you go. Of course you can buy mineral water in a shop but tap water should be a better option.

With regards to the discussion about neck passport holders vs waist holders etc I used a SPI belt to carry valuables when we were in Rome this July. This small personal item holder is big enough for a passport, credit cards and some cash and was quite comfortable to wear even in the heat. It was not nearly as bulky as some waist holders. I still carried a purse that held a camera, wallet with a bit of cash and a small water bottle and DH carried a day pack for extra lenses for the camera, an umbrella and a scarf to cover my shoulders when we entered churches etc. Here is a link to the SPI belts:

Snowflake - but it looks like that's a belt you wear OUTSIDE your clothes. OK for jogging, but not for travel.

I have worn a moneybelt under my pants, skirts and dresses, and no, you can't see it ,,, you would have to have it crammed full of crap and wear tight clothes I guess for it to be visable..

thursdaysd I wore it under my clothes and it sat comfortably at my waist without rubbing or chafing. I have never worn a money belt or passport holder but have had student travellers who have and their complaint was that they are uncomfortable and "sweaty" and the neck holders don't look very comfortable either.It does say it is for wearing outside of your clothes but it lays flat and could not be seen even under sundresses etc.
migb It is much smaller than a fanny pack, made from stretchy fabric that will expand to accommodate a cell phone or passport. I put 2 passports, a credit card and cash in it and it lay flat.

Maybe I'll take my expired PP and iPod down to Marshalls and give it a test run in the dressing room. The strap on the photo looks bulky, but can't recall what the one in the store was like.

I often wear tight fitting clothes. I wear a scarf to help cover my lanyard/ID badge holder contraption.
