Carrvaggio-Michelangelo Rome sites open 1 May?

We'll be in Rome 1 May and would like to visit these churches.I can't find any websites that will tell me if they are open on this national Holiday. Does anyone have any experience or guidance?
San Luigi dei Francesi
Sant' Agostino In Campo Marzio
Santa Maria del Poppolo
Santa Maria Sopra Minerva
thanks so much!

Churches don't close for Italian national holidays. These churches should be open at their usual times. Churches generally are open from 7 or 8 in the morning until 12 or 1 in the afternoon, then again from 4 or 5 in the afternoon to about 6 or 7 in the evening.

By the way, May 1 is not an Italian National Holiday...it's international. It's Labour Day.

thank you Grinisa. I'm glad to know the churches will be open. This will help fill out our day on this holiday.

I saw the word Caravaggio! You probably have this link but it's great and will tell you where the works are.

Hello Kenderina, in the US our Labor Day is celebrated September 3rd this year. I believe that is true for Canada as well.

When I way a little girl we did celebrate May 1st, we called it May Day and we danced around the May pole..a sweet holiday but a long time ago the celebration ceased.

I hope all is well with you and your family and that your father is feeling well.
