Carrie's Sex In the City Paris Hotel

Is anyone able to tell me which Paris Hotel it is that is featured in the last episodes of Sex in the City? - the one that has Carrie going out onto the balcony,looking to her right and screaming when she cops a view of the Eiffel Tower ? No, I know already that it will not be where Iwill be staying - it does look way, way too swish for my budget! But maybe I will sit on a cocktail there for a while instead!

I tried to get a seat on the terrace one year, there, the balconys look like the hanging gardens of Babylon.

Please don't "sit" on the cocktail, live2travel2. I imagine that's frowned on everywhere--regardless of how swish the venue. Do, however, feel free to "sip" your cocktail--make it a Cosmopolitan--pinkie in the air at all times, of course. :;

Quick etiquette lesson. Bidets, sit on. Cocktails, sip from.
Do not get confused by some posters who use bidets as beer coolers.

Similar question- does anyone know the restaurant at which Carrie has lunch with Alec's ex? The one with the crazy faces on the clear chairs? Have been trying to find out since forever, but no one seems to know!

Cigalechanta,

Sorry, you posted the wrong URL. The one you posted gets you the Plaza Athenee in New Your. Try: http://www.plaza-athenee-paris.com/

If you want a shock, look up the rates. Simplist room I saw was over € 900.

The PA (Paris) salon off the lobby is a wonderful place to have tea and it's not expensive...a big silver pot of tea (I like the Darjeeling Margaret's Hope) is only 8 euros and you get excellent service.
My favorite casual eating spot is across the street from the PA, the Bar des Theatres. Very good French traditional comfort food (poulet roti, steak tartare--one fashion mag editor says they make the best steak tartare in Paris--sole meuniere, etc.), nice wine list, friendly service. Clientele is a mix of neighborhood locals, staff from the designer shops along the Avenue Montaigne, and chauffeurs for the celebs and fashionistas staying at the PA. You can overhear a LOT of juicy gossip!
