Carmen in Seville
The entire festival has been postponed indefinitely. No word yet on refunds, the website says that all purchased tickets are still "valid". Which is meaningless for those of us who have already made travel arrangements based on this event.

I just read the Times article here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/05/ar...ic/05SEVI.html
It sounds like it would have been a great production. Were you planning to see it? I'm sorry to hear of its cancelation.

Yes, I had tickets and they were VERY expensive. It was the main reason my husband and I decided to go to Spain to celebrate his 40th birthday. I guess I'll still continue to plan for a holiday in Andalucia..

Sorry to hear it was postponed. Was looking forward to hearing about it.
However, I'm sure you'll have a great trip anyway--Seville itself is magical. We loved the flameco at Los Gallos and there are so many other things to do as well.
Just hope you got a full refund on your tickets!
Happy 40th to your husband.
