Caramels au beurre sale

Does anybody else think this might be the best candy in the world? Do you have a favorite brand? Are the good ones sold in France outside of Brittany? We're going to the Loire and Le Perche, but not Brittany. The ones I found at the Monoprix and supermarche were not soft, melting, and delicious the way the Fabrique en Bretagne ones are. Please help me find a source for our September trip. (I can buy them in the US but not close to home and this place doesn't ship.)

I bought a few bags in La Rochelle recently..they were made in the region with salt from Ile de Re. They are wonderful...soft and melting with large salt crystals..so be aware that the Bretagne version are not the only great ones.

Those were mango caramels from Jacque Genin in Paris. Truly amazing.

The ones I'm familiar with are caramels d'Isigny (see caramels-isigny.com) from Normandy, You can visit the factory - and of course, they say they're the best!
