Car Service or HEX/Elizabeth line + taxi to hotel?
I am flying into LHR Terminal 5, arriving at 12:15pm on a weekday. I normally book Just Airports to take me to my hotel, but my flights have always arrived early in the morning and the ride into central London has never taken too long. I Google mapped the journey to see the estimated length of time it would take for this journey by car and it gave me a pretty wide estimate of between 50 minutes to 1 hr 50 minutes. I am staying at the Premier Inn County Hall.
I am interested in getting to my hotel relatively quickly, but also don't want to go through too much effort just to save 15 minutes, if that makes sense. I know that meeting a car service and going for a ride door to door is relatively easier than the two step process of taking either HEX or the Elizabeth line to Paddington and finding a taxi from there. I'm not interested in getting on the Tube with my luggage as I will have a larger suitcase + carryon with me.
I'm just wondering if normal early-mid afternoon traffic poses enough of a time delay for me to consider taking the train into Paddington and then a taxi to my hotel. I admit it's the 1hr 50 min part of the estimate that's throwing me.
