Want to hire a car service from our hotel in Positano to Naples airport. We will be renting a car there and drive to Tuscany. How far in advance should we book a driver?

Many I tried to book with for September were unavailable for my dates so I would b book your driver immediately.

We found a lovely driver named Sergio Riana though another Fodorite on these boards. I have chatted with him multiple times over the last few weeks and have arranged a lot of transport though him. He will be driving us from the Naples airport to our Sorrento, back and forth to Positano, and even to Rome with a stop in Pompei on the way. You can email him at [email protected]. Hope this helps.

Well, thanks to LouisaH, we now understand why Zenfoodist booked a private driver -- at the tender age of 21 (albeit with an 11 year old son), she's not old enough to rent a car.

Sometimes I think various people may use someone else's account on Fodors, so it is possible the child of someone used their parents account to post once.
