Car Service - Amalfi Coast Vicinity

I recently traveled to Italy, and I booked Anthony's Car Service to meet me at the train station in Naples for transport to Positano. I was a bit afraid of being in Naples since it is known for a lot of crime, so it was a wise decision to hire a car service. I highly recommend this service. Anthony was on time, courteous, professional, and drove superbly on the cliffs of the Amalfi coast. I also hired him to go to Pompei. Again, he was punctual, courteous, and also provided the history of the coast as well as Pompei. In addition, his mini-van was very comfortable. Anthony may be reached at amalfitransfer.com or telephone: 39-349-441-0336.

Your support for this service would be much more credible, if it weren't your only post.

How about a trip report?

I have a different response, based on the fact that as a frequent visitor to that area, I know there's always alot of competitiveness at work between the drivers.

This OP might be an ad-I don't know- but we can turn it into a resource by using the thread to give a further list of drivers on the AC who have been recommended in the past here on fodors, just to keep all the names gathered together for reference.

I have used some of the drivers listed below with good results, though I now tend to do my own driving around. I do especially like the Gargiulo family- father and sons, who are delightful (tourofitaly)
Those who are seeking a driver in that will get best results by checking all on this list and the others easily found by searching this forum.

Good idea, Bella. I used Renato Cuomo for the Naples airport/Amalfi transfer and also for a transfer from Amalfi to Naples with a stop in Pompeii.

I also used Dionisio Toffoletto for a daytrip to Paestum from Amalfi:

I would urge people to be mindful of the driver's point of origin because this may affect the price of various tours and transfers.

We also had a very good experience with Giovanni from www.tourofitaly.com.

We used www.driverinrome.com for our group of 22 in 3 port towns of Livorno, Naples and Messina and they were very good.Of course we needed a mini bus, but they had sedans as well. I especially liked all the young and enthusiastic guides that they provided along with the drivers. Everthing was handled over the internet.
