Car rental in Spain

We want to rent a car to drive from Sevilla to Granada, stopping in Ronda and other places along the way. Can anyone recommend car rental companies?

I have used the following booking website and found some bargains with hire companies..

Not knowing where you are from, it hard to say what your best option is. If you are an American, then your best best would be to book through Auto Europe or Kemwel. Hertz does have a one-day rental option, but it is the same cost as a three-day rental.

We rented from AutoEurope in Seville this April and dropped off in Granada; they are a broker and work with many different companies (e.g. Hertz, Avis). Have rented from them now in Italy, Spain and France and every rental was hassle-free. One note: I'd recommend getting the smallest car possible as the hill towns in southern Spain are VERY narrow (we got into a real pickle in Arcos). We also take out every bit of insurance offered as inevitably something happens (e.g. slightly scraped fender in Arcos) and having the insurance makes dealing with the aftermath painless. Yes it adds to the cost, but not having the worry is well worth it, imo!

I have used many car rental companies in Spain and never had trouble with any of them. Please note, that sometimes you book with one company and when you get there it may under a different name.

If you can drive a shift, you will save a great deal of money.

Also check with your credit card companies and your insurnace agent as to what type of coverage you may have. You may save money on the insurance.

carjet, autoeurope, are good web sites. If you reserve ahead of time you can get very good prices. If you just show up at Santa Justa when you get to Sevilla you will pay a lot more.
