Car rental in Siena?

We'll be in Siena for 6 days on our honeymoon, and plan on doing a lot of walking. We're also taking a castle and wine tour around Tuscany. We don't anticipate wanting to rent a car, but if we change our minds, is there any place in Siena to rent on the spur of the moment?

Thanks!

I will be in Siena in April, and found out that Hertz rents cars there -- and extremely reasonably, I might add. Just check out hertz.com & you can check rates & availability to get a rough idea. Unless their euro to US Dollars conversion was wrong, I thought it was a steal! It was less than renting in the US!

Both Hertz and Avis have offices outside the walls of Siena.

Hi dd,
I will also be in Siena in April. I just checked out their website, and was quoted about $100 per day for a compact car! What rate did you get?

hmmmm ... seems too good to be true .. my confirmed rate at hertz is $48.33USD/55.15 EUR total for 2 days ($14.36/day + insurances & taxes & fees), unlimited free km, "economy 2 dr manual air". I used my company's business rate #, and if anything, those normally tend to give you a higher dollar rate than just an off the street rate, but I didn't bother looking any farther after I confirmed the rate.
