Thanks a lot, Sher. I was hoping you would post here, because I know you really understand all this car rental stuff. Thanks again.

Laurie. I noticed that I made a mistake. I meant to write Economy and I see that by mistake I said Carjet. Carjet does not provide full coverage as far as I know.
So in the above when I said Carjet just substitute Economy.
I have really worked hard to get this information down pat. And it seems that I do understand it somewhat.
By the way, Economy placed us with Sixt in Lisbon which I found perfectly acceptable. But as you know the rentals are so easy to get to at that airport.

This last time we went with Hertz because the description of their mid-sized car was a little clearer than either Carjet or Economy. And of course I had to rely on my credit car insurance which I wasn't entirely comfortable with. But thankfully there were no mishaps.
I am looking into a rental in Budapest and I probably will go with Economy. They have good prices and that insurance perk doesn't hurt.

Hi, Sher,
I had guessed that you mean to say Economy in that posting, but thanks for clarifying it for me. I imagine that these companies are very strict about procedures to be followed in case of damage, so I will print out the Economy instructions on what to do. They stress that a police report is necessary, etc, etc.

Enjoy the sunshine, I saw on another post that you went down to Florida to escape the weather. Laurie

Well, now I am back in PA and I escaped the warm sunshine in Florida. But such is life.
