Follow Tuck's advice and contact Andrew Bestor at Gemut. Heads up! If you pick up off the airport you'll save 20% (tax) on your entire rental.

I have used Bob Bestor at Gemut.com several times and I feel like I always got the best deal and I have always been upgraded in car size. One thing to keep in mind in picking up a car in Germany at an airport or train station there is an additional 21% tax added. If there is any way to pick up the car at a different lot it could save you a significant amount. There is no penalty to drop it at the airport in Munich.

You may try Nova RentaCar

I arranged to rent a 1.0 litre sub-compact for 19 days in April/May from the Munich airport
This was off season and I was given an upgrade to a 1.6 litre mini SUV at no extra cost.
I shopped around and found Nova had the best prices.
On the recommendation of a Fodorite I rented from Nova at the Manchester airport last year and was well pleased with their service.
The rental car dropoff at the Munich Airport is very convenient.

We used Auto Europe for our driving trip through Germany/Austria in May and were very pleased with their prices and outstanding customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I agree with the above Gemut. Auto europe is also good. the personel service from the bestors cannot be matched inmho.

Gemut uses Auto Europe. I recently had a better quote on a 13 day rental in Germany and Auto Europe was unable to match it. I then went through Gemut and they were able to match it using Auto Europe - They must have some extra pull with AE!
