Car rental in Chiusi
 

I originally rented a car through Hertz to be picked up at the location close to the train station, but due to some advice from this board, I'm reconsidering Hertz and thinking of going with Auto Europe. The AE website has 2 different locations for Chiusi....Chiusi Scalo and Chiusi Downtown office. Does anyone know which one is closest to the train station? Thanks!

The Hertz location is right across from the train station, Piazza Dante. The Europcar location is about a block and a half from the train station, via Cassia Aurelia. The Avis location is across the tracks some distance, Po Bandino.

Henry....thank you for your reply. Do you have any thoughts on Hertz vs AutoEurope? I have a reservation with Hertz, but I'm reconsidering. Any thoughts?

I have always used Autoeurope because they could get me a better price and they have a great reputation for customer service. Some times I pick up the car at Hertz, sometimes Avis, but most often Europcar.

Henry....thank you. I think that I'll just leave the reservation with Hertz then. I'll just call the local office a day or two before to ensure that the car will be there. I've already prepaid for it, so it will just be easier. Thanks! (oh, are you familiar with the drive from Chiusi to Pienza? If so...how long do you think it is?)
