Car rental from Palermo Central
 

Hello. Someone recommended going out to the airport in Palermo to rent a car after we've spent a few days in the city. It seems a bit out of the way when there are agencies near the Port, especially since we will be heading southeast to Cefalù. Is it that difficult to drive from the Port out of town? I am just starting to investigate rates. I don't know if you get better rates at the airport. Ideas? TIA

Driving out of Palermo Port going south and west (avoiding the old central area) is relatively easy, going through the middle is a nightmare.
