Car Rental at Geneva Airport
I want to rent a car at the Geneva Switzerland Airport to travel into France. I have read that it is very important to rent on the FRENCH side of the airport. When I look at car rentals, I don't see any specifying the French side. I noticed Europcar has choices that have Swiss side. Can anyone help with information about this. Do I need an International driver's license. I got one last year to drive in Italy and no one ever asked to see it.

Talk to someone at Autoeutrope using the toll free number.

Do most people get complete insurance coverage. It is almost as much as the car. I never get it in the US, but I know I need some overseas I just don't know what to get.

Ditto RonZ.

Thanks so much for the link! Sounds complicated after an 18 hour flight.

Thanks so much for the link! Sounds complicated after an 18 hour flight.</i> You could catch a train at the airport to take you to your first French stop and rent a car there the next day. |
Here is a link to the GVA website: http://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-72/
Second half of the page shows which hire car companies are on the French side. |
