Car rental at Bad Ischl
 

We planned to stay at Bad Ischl for a week and make it our base to visit Salzburg, the lakes, ski and spa. However the international car rental companies do not seem to have cars operating from it. Can someone help to connect up with the local companies? If not we will have to rent one from Salzburg.

You are better off renting in Salzburg through AutoEurope or Gemut than some off-shoot small company that may be limited to Bad Isch. This is not a big city. The drive from Sal;zburg to B. is 56 km, over a good and scenic road. Your choice of Bad Ischl as a base is very good.
