Car-rental? amalfi coast in March

I only have 4 days at the amalfi coast. Would I save time by renting a car? I read the roads are narrow and there is no parking. But March is off-peak season, there should be less traffic, right? If I want to bring the car to capri, should I take the ferry from Napoli or Sorrento? Thanks

Mohan,

I like driving the Amalfi coast - particularly in the off season. So I would definitely rent a car. In my opinion, a car gets int the way on Capri. It's a small island and I don't know what you'd do with a car...

I would rent the car either before or after Capri...

mohan there are pull offs all along the amalfi drive which is the only safe was to enjoy the scenery. the traffic is less at that time of the year but watch the wide buses and trucks. you do not need a car on capri- if you go th anacapri take the bus enjoy

We also are looking at renting a car for the amalfi coast. We will be arriving by train in Naples. Does anyone know if there are car rental agencies by the station? Or should we continue on to Sorrento and rent a car from there?
