Car rental
 

We will need a car rental for 8 days in Stavanger summer 2009. I can't believe the rates they are getting. Does anyone know of a discount car rental company in Stavanger?

We found the rates high in July 2008 in Germany as well. The rates had jumped about 50% from the previous December. I know some of this is the dollare going down, but not 50% in 6 months!

You might try Maggiore Car Hire. They are based in Ireland, but you will get service anywhere, including Norway. Excellent service and autos. We recently rented a Mercedes C class estate wagon with Auto and Diesel for a price that no one could match AND one firm would not honor the "we are the lowest or we will give you the difference etc." pledge.
