Car Ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari overnight

We are thinking of taking this ferry in early October. Have some concerns about seasickness, and how smooth the ride is. If you have been on this ferry, can you give me some feedback about your experience? Thanks

Packed...can only report one cancelled trip of ours due to heavy seas on Dub to Bari route. It was Easter weekend and played hell with those planning to arrive in Southern Italy for that Holiday weekend. We were able to get free tix to fly to Split and connect with Rome flight as we had no plans for the Bari region. Several regulars warned that heavy seas were common on that route, occasionally cancelling the voyage.

Good info.
Thanks, Tower
We may have to rethink this. We'll have a car but our destination is the Amalfi region.

Best to take the flight from Split to Rome, rent car and Amalfi Coast is only a few short hours drive...autostrada all the way.

We actually have to keep our rental car for itinerary reasons so I'm either stuck getting to Bari or doing a two day drive to Amalfi.

Anyone else out there who has traveled on this ferry in late September or early October?

An update. We did take the ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari. The sea was pretty calm and with two Bonine tablets, I did fine. The most luxurious thing about this ferry was the bottom floor where the cars, trucks and buses were parked. It was a sparking stainless steal from floor to ceiling. The total contrast was the actual living space of the ship. It was packed, not efficient, old dirty carpet. But it was an experience and an adventure. There was a tour group and it was nice to hear them singing. Most people spent the night in chairs arranged like airplane chairs with a little more room. We were "lucky" to get a cabin (had been on a wait list) which had a bunk bed and a single for the two of us. It was old, shabby, and only had a sink, but the bed linen seemed clean. Some of the cabins had bathrooms, but we couldn't get one. Our cabin was next to the men's bathroom and we could hear everyone coming and going as well as the bathroom doors banging with the movement of the ship when they weren't closed properly.
The ship left about an hour late but arrived on time, about ten hours later, in Bari. There was no information given about how to get back to your car or what time to be there. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get to our car as there wasn't room to navigate with our luggage back to the car and although we had driven on almost first, our car was in the back.
Would I do it again, probably not, but it makes a good story and gave us an extra travel day.
