Car drop-of in Salerno
 

We have to drop-off our rented car in Salerno at Avis station. On the map it looks far from the train station as we have to catch the train. I would appreciate information regarding transport from Via Terre Risaie Downtown (Avis) to the train station. Much appreciated.

Is there some reason you're not returning the car at the Avis office near the train station? Via Clemente Mauro 20, Salerno.

Although not open on Sundays, the one at the station does indeed seem much more convenient....

However Salerno has a ZTL - traffic control - system that may make it hard for non-local vehicles to get to, at least not without perhaps picking up a fine or two along the way?

No certainty about quite where it covers from me, I afraid - as we don't drive here in Italy!

But I'd suggest checking with the place you're currently booked to use - and also asking if the staff there could call you a taxi out from the city... sure not to be the first such request they've had, given their location?

Thank you!! I think I made a mistake by booking "downtown". Now it seems like "out of town". Agree, there may be a Taxi service to the station etc.
