Capuchin Monk Crypt is now open!
 

We are currently in Rome and just found out the Capuchin Monk Crypt which has been under renovations is now open. We went there yesterday and it is incredible. Thought those of you who are coming soon would like to know and put it back on your itinerary.
It is in the Church of Santa Maria Concezione.

Thank you for the information. We will be in Rome in 2 weeks, and had thought the crypt was still going to be closed. We missed it when we were there last May and are glad to know it is now open.

NO, we had not been there before so I don't know if it has changed. I do not imagine, however, that they would have moved things around.

Thanks for this info! I didn't even know it was being renovated. I was there back in 2000, and will be visiting again in early May with my husband...I will try to remember to report back.

EXCELLENT - we will be there in 10 days and my girls were really hoping to see the crypt! Thanks for the info. This board is so helpful.
