** Capri w/ kids, need hotel *
As part of our trip, starting in northern Italy, and going south to Naples, we plan one night on Capri. Need a hotel and traveling with our kids, daughter 15 and son 12.
Saw: La Canasta Capri, Via Campo di Teste 6, on venere.com which looks nice with good location. Budget is under $200 and this one says, $168.
Recommend this or any others? Thanks!

ciaodeb,
I hope it works out for you. Signor Esposito is wonderful to deal with for reservations as well as activities on the island.
Some of the double rooms are situated so that when you walk out onto the terrace, you can see and talk with each other. If he doesn't have a quad room, possibly this set up might work for you...if the price is right.
BTW the views are wonderful from this hotel, and it is in a quiet location. Continental breakfast was included in the room rate when we stayed there. The hotel is spotless!
It's late right now, and I can't remember the name of the hotel located next to La Minerva. It gets good reviews and they may have quad rooms. Someone on this board may know the name of the neighboring hotel.

i_am_kane--yes, it is out for now and I made a list of the Capri hotels from this post to keep. I returned their informative e-mails saying we will visit at another time. It was too much- troppo, as the Italians say!
