Capri to Naples Airport?

A recent post asked the best way to get from Capri to the Naples train station (after disembarking from the hydrofoil), and the tram adjacent to the ferry dock was suggested. Is there a good way--aside from a taxi--to get from the port of Molo Beverello to the Naples airport? If a taxi is best, how do you know if the price is reasonable? How much time would you allow, in general, to get from Capri to the airport?

My son and his bride plan to fly from Naples to Milan (Linate?) and continue to Lake Como, but would it make sense to take the train from Naples to Milan instead?

There is a city bus that leaves from an area very close to the ferry terminal and goes directly to the airport. Unfortunately, I took it from the Airport into the city center (my return was via the bus from Sorrento to NAP). As for time, it really depends on when and which day you are travelling. The inner city can be very crowded--but in general, I'd allow for an hour between the port and the airport. As for safety, I wouldn't worry too much, just be aware of your surroundings (and others) as you would in any major city.

You could also take a ferry from Capri to Sorrento (less hectic than Naples) and catch the shuttle bus to the airport.

Hi Kathy - There are 2 bus services from the Molo Beverello port area (Piazza Municipio) to Capodichino airport:

- Alibus Airport shuttle
- ANM regular bus 3S

Both run about every 20-30 mins. Here are the links:

Hope this helps ...
