What a great day you had! Looks like your weather was perfect. Your pics are great and it sounds like the hike is not too difficult. I can't wait to be in the middle of that "festival of stupidity" on the way to Bomerano - too funny. I hope our day is half as good as yours was. Thanks for posting, it was worth the wait.

Great report - full of helpful info, thanks for sharing! After lots of browsing of info related to path if gods your report contains the exact instruction I've been wanting. And I didn't know the Flavio bus takes you right to La Tagliata. We will be staying in Praiano next October & I had thought La Tagliata would be too difficult to reach, but now I know otherwise. I haven't even viewed your photos yet - can't wait to open this back up on my desktop later.

Great! Glad it helps. Yes, the toodle bus stops right in front of La Tagliata. And it goes all the way to Nocelle and turns around in the car park.

I would study the bus schedules carefully and be on the early bus. I am not sure how often they come by, and if you miss either connection you could be looking at an hour wait - and if it is warm I would not want to start an hour later. Starting at 9 AM in May was PERFECT.

What a fabulous day this was. Every day on this trip was fabulous. Such a pretty, pretty part of Italy.

I was just thinking last night I need to come back and finalize this report. I have the remainder of my last day in Positano and then the day in Naples to finish. Especially now that it's coming back around to Amalfi Coast travel season!

Cannot tell you how amazingly helpful this TR has been flygirl!!
I am planning a month's stay in Positano this coming May and have been have been getting even more excited after reading about your adventures and seeing all your photos. Getting ready to post a few questions of my own - so grateful for all the time you and other members of this group have taken to share your experiences.

@ekc thank you!! Finally getting it all together! Very appreciative for all the info here - yours and @flygirls have been especially helpful. Tried to book some time @Villa le Sirene but no luck of course, way too late to the game. Alcione has availability - wondering if you or @flygirl could recommend if top floor is best for view/balcony, or if you know of any other great apartment rentals I could try for at this late date.

We stayed at the Alcione (based on flygirl's advice) and we were in the suite she had. The views were wonderful. We had friends who stayed just above us on the top floor. Their views were equally great but not significantly better.

I stayed in Suite Saraceno which has utterly stunning views, as you can see from the photos I posted.

I think they may have renamed those suites, but, as long as it's the same management property you should be able to tell them this was a 2 yr old reco and that was the name of it in 2013.

I remember the manager telling me that was their nicest (or maybe biggest?) suite although I didn't look at any of the others, maybe they say that to everyone. It was pretty big and had a kitchenette and big bathroom. It was bathed in light all day. Just wonderful.

Enjoy!

Just rereading through your entire trip report again @flygirl and am in heaven - so grateful for every detail, description, recommendation, and photo! I've now booked Alcione - top floor with huge balcony, as well as the Marincanto, and Villa Brunella on Capri which I think is not too far from La Minerva. Your photos are incredible and I love that you have included so many reports of your hiking experiences and the info on Lucia (Zia Lucy). I too had considered Backroads and am happy now with my own itinerary - thanks to you and others that have posted here. Also have my own copy now of "My Amalfi Coast" - great guide and LOVE Carla Coulson's photography.
Still more than 2 months away but I can't thank you enough for your amazing Trip Report!
