Capri in November?

I am going to Italy in November. I want to go to the Blue Grotto on Capri. Do you know what the weather is like that time of year? Is it worth going even if the sunshine isn't out or if it's raining??

Without sunshine, the Blue Grotto isn't blue but just a dark cave. It's likely the boats to the grotto wouldn't be running if it's raining or a dark day.

Daytime temps would likely be in the low 60s to upper 50s F.

It will probably be too chilly and windy to go out to the grotto. You never know though.

I went to Capri for a day trip during the first week of December quite a few years ago. It was a lovely sunny day and fine for the grotto. Also walked to and from Villa Jovis and around town. It was a very nice day.

So if the weather is sunny, I say go for it.

The entrance to the Grotto is very small and if the seas are rough even the little row boats can;t get in. In winter the chances of rough seas are increased.

If you really want to go to Capri then you certainly can - and may have good weather or may have bad. But, you need to realize that the Grotto may not be accessible at all for a couple of days at a time.
