Capri Hotels

I'm looking for recommendations for nice Capri hotels that will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (ages6&10). Any suggestions?

Mars,

Whatever you do, select a hotel "in" the city of Capri. Our hotel was in the marina area, very conveniently located next to the ferrys, but a little dark at night.

Also, everytime we wanted to get to the city, we had to pay to use the funicular.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone ever stayed at the Hotel San Felice?

I stayed in San Felice last September. It's a nice place, and has a good pool area for kids, but there are no views of the sea. The place is run by a young, but very attentive, owner.

It is just around the corner from Hotel Quisiana, right in the heart of the town. Breakfast is delivered to your room, but that is about it for extras.

My daughter and son-in-law stayed at the San Felice and felt exactly as described by candert above.

We took our 2 kids ages 6 and 10 a couple of years ago to Capri and stayed at Villa Brunella. We LOVED it. It was perfect for us. We booked a Junior Suite which was one large room with a sofa plus they brought in a comfortable cot as well. They treated our children like royalty and the small pool area was perfect. The service was very personalized. By the 2nd morning our waiter knew what my kids wanted every morning for breakfast and would bring it out without even asking. The kids enjoyed the family's pets as well. There are a tremendous amount of stairs since the property is built on many levels and our kids found this intriguing since like most kids they are always searching for anything to climb. We found this property to be very romantic as well; our room had a nice terrace with a table/chairs with drop dead views so when the kids went to sleep at night we could sit out there and drink wine or whatever.
