Capri Hotel Suggestions

Has anyone stayed at Relais Maresca? I have not seen any posts for this and was wondering if this was a good hotel/location etc...

www.capri.net is a good site. I have been to Capri a few times but only for day trips, you should have a great time staying overnight. Sorry I can't help with hotels personally.

It's a great hotel, appropriately rated as 4 star. Was there in late Sept. It has a reasonable view, but it's not as spectacular as some. Its location does give a very nice unobstructed view of the ships and boats coming and going - it is nice even if not number one on the island. It's only about a quarter up the way from sea level since it's basically located just above Marina Piccollo. I do recommend it, the service is wonderful and the rooms so typical Capri.

Location wise it's not like it's in Anacapri where you have to take the bus to Capri, but then it's not like something like the Palm in the middle of town. (but then again some of the hotels convenient to the town have obstructed views) It's also not something like Villa Sarah a ways up the hill you need to walk to. (although Villa Sarah's peacful vinyard location offsets that walk up) It's right at the marina so it's very convenient for coming and going plus the beach, and the fanicular up to the island level is right there. So location is about 50-50 - it depends on where you're going and what you want to do.
