Capri Ferry Tickets

Hello, I just wanted to confirm that we can buy tickets do of in April for our ferries from Sorrento to Capri and Capri to Naples? I don't want to be held down to a specific time if I don't have to. Gratzie!

I've done several ferries to the islands from Sorrento and Naples at various times of year and always just bought my ticket at the dock the time of leaving - car ferries are huge and seem to always have room for foot traffic but the smaller faster passenger boats have often seemed to be fairly full - did you check the boat web sites?

Hopefully other with more recent experience will be more precise - will be interesting to hear the answers.

Thank you. yes, and there is a 5:40 and 7:25p ferries leaving Sorrento. Our tour should be done by 5, but I hesitate to book the 5:40p in case we run late, but would prefer that ferry if timing works out.

As for Capri to Naples, there are a few morning ferries available but that is one of the only mornings on the entire trip we can sleep in! :)

I would assume walking up would be fine, just wanted to double check.

I have not done it for a few years - keep topping if the thread disappears and some of our Italian experts will be more definitive.

Our Capri hotel took care of obtaining our departure ferry tickets for us.
Our ferry from Naples to Capri was large, not crowded and you can buy tickets
At the port that day. Didn't see any car ferries from Naples to Capri.

<Advance booking or purchase of ferry tickets is not required, but we suggest you pre-purchase your tickets for travel during holiday weekends or the months of July and August, especially for afternoon return ferries from Capri to the mainland. You can purchase tickets in advance through our partner, OK-Ferry.>

From the web site Blueeuedcod so graciously posted.

Be aware that ferries from Capri back do not run late at night - we had to take a late afternoon - about 5:30 pm back to Sorrento. Check the ferry times both ways before starting over.

There is an app called Capri Schedule that might be useful to download - it provides updates schedules for all of the ferries in the area.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 01:32 PM.
