Capodichino Hotels, Naples

.....we will be arriving from Vancouver -
Naples around midnight and hope to fly to
Palermo the next morning. Any suggestions
for a convenient airport hotel?

Also, which airline to check for Naples/
Palermo flights.

TIA

.......thanks, Steve!
There is a "Charming Hotel" that is on
the airport (hopefully, not on a runway)
- has anyone used it?

Alpi Eagles is now the only airline
with daily flights to Palermo and the
flight we need leaves at 7 a.m. so we
do need to stay as close as possible.

We stayed at the Charming International Hotel in 2003. Our experience was very charming. The hotel is not actually in the airport proper. It is fairly deserted and does not have a restaurant. We arrived late in the evening and ended up walking a long way in a not-so-great area to find something to eat. Without going in to a long story, we stayed there on the night before our flight out, which was at 7:00 a.m. Because we had left our travel alarm behind at a previous hotel, the first thing we did was request a wakeup call for 5:30. The clerk recorded the information on a piece of paper, but never programmed it into the computer. When the next shift came on at midnight, they knew nothing of it. Needless to say, we got no wake-up call and woke up in a terror at about 6:15, tried desparately to get a cab to the terminal, and arrived too late to be boarded (even though the plane was still on the runway.) That little misadventure ended up costing about $1500, because we missed our connecting flight in Paris and couldn't get out until four days later.
Naturally my perception of the hotel is colored by that unfortunate experience, but generally I found the hotel to be overpriced and just so-so.
