Cap Ferrat info?

I have read that you can goaround the Cap-Ferrat by a little road train with stops to visit the Kerylos Greek Mansion and the Ephrussi de Rothschild museum.
Has anyone done this? We are particularly interested in the Museum and Gardens. Do you know where you can catch the train?
Thanks,
Carol

I don't remember any small tourist trains when I was there. I don't know if the season was over for the train (end of last October). I just walked all the way from Beaulieu railway station to Kerylos Mansion (7 minute walk), visited the mansion (bought a combined ticket to visit both Kerylos and Ephrussi), then walked on to Ephrussi along the sea coast for about 15 minutes. Last part of the walk was a easy uphill. Then we walked on to Villefranche for about another 15 minutes or maybe a bit more. I had a great lunch at the Rotonde room of Ephrussi with a magnificent view. This was a really scenic walk which I'm glad I did.

Hi, there has been talk about the tram for years and finally they have started on it - good or bad - they have torn out trees, etc. and dug up the roads to install it. I rented a house next to the Ephrussi one year and it is an easy walk to Kerylos and the marina as kappa wrote. Have tea at the Ephrussi.

Thanks for the responses. Ephrussi sounds wonderful. I found their great website. Beautiful pictures!
Glad to hear that the tram is now going to be a reality. SeaUrchin, we will be coming there from Villefrance; do you know where will can catch the tram? (May - I hope it's complete by then?) We are older travelers, and depending on our aches and pains that day may be up for a long walk, and then maybe not. I guess there is a bus from Villefrance to that area/ Do you know?

No I don't, sorry. I used our cars the whole time. And we used the ped. paths. From the Kerylos you can skirt around the marina and maybe someone can point you in the direction of the correct stairs and paths to get up to the Ephrussi. It's not a bad walk and you can stop and enjoy the views to get a breath. YOu will be walking between the villas all the way up.

Maybe someone here knows about the trains! Have a great time, it is a beautiful area. Give yourself enough time to enjoy the gardens at the Ephrussi!

I got this answer also so thought I would add it to the topic. We will be going on a Sunday - so that may prove another problem for the train.
Maybe we can just find a bus from Villefranche to Cap-Ferrat area where the Ephrussi villa is located.
Anyone else with more information?

"We took the train from Villefranche to Beaulieu (a very short trip)and then just walked to Kerylos and the Ephrussi. Kerylos is easy to find(right on the main road) and for the Ephrussi just keep walking along the water and then ask where the path(shortcut) up the hill to the Mansion starts. It was hidden and not marked when we did it but we found it. It is a beautiful walk. The little train did not go that direction when we were there. On another visit we took the little train from Villefranche to Beaulieu but got "stranded" for over an hour when the drivers took a long lunch break. I think the real train was a better idea. The Ephrussi mansion is spectacular and I highly recommend it."
