Can't decide where to stay in Venice

I've narrowed my choices to these 2 B&B's-"Locanda ca amadi" by the Rialto bridge and "Ca satriano" located on the San Marco side of the Accademia bridge. Having never been to Venice before I'm not sure which is the better area. Please help!

Hi
Both locations are good. The Rialto bridge is close to the markets (especially the fish market, go early)
San Marco is where the Doge's Palace and the Duomo are located.

The Accademia area seemed a bit less hectic than the area around the Rialto bridge. That would probably be my choice from "first impressions." But there was more shopping, restaurants, etc around Rialto. Everyplace is easy to reach, however.

Good morning, Jewel personally prefer
locations closer to Pza S. Marco, hotels
such as the Concordia, DoPozzi, Ala and
Kette. Closer to the Rialto and on the
Grand Canal would suggest the Marconi.
All have their own web sights and can
be surffed very quickly. The area over
the Accademia would be about five minutes or slightly more to the Pza. S. Marco..
