Thanks for the great suggestions, very appreciated. For now, we are considering the following hotels based on the suggestions and availability of the hotels: Hotel Fontanella Borghese, Hotel Parlamento, Hotel Rafaello, and Hotel Genio. Need to do more research and compare them all.

We have stayed at Hotel Rafaello twice and would highly recommend it. Like Holly, we walked to a lot of the attractions - but it is also close to the train, subway and bus station which we took advantage of. The staff at the front desk are outstanding and helped us with maps, dinner reservations, taxis, and even help us find a dentist after hours for an emergency situation. The breakfast every morning was very good and a great way to start the day before heading out to the craziness of Rome!

we loved the little queen B&B in the old jewish ghetto---we stayed in one of the newer apartments they offer---just a big room not an apartment.. great location.. no service.. great restaurants... helpful young owners.. walk to lots of things..

So, we are down to two options. Hotel Fontanella Borghese or Hotel Raffaello. From what I read online, sounds like the area where FB is located is more central. It will be our first time in Rome. Which location would be more ideal for us?

The Fontanella Borghese is more central, and is actually an excellent location.
