Cannes in November

I will be in Cannes on a cruise on November 3rd. I wanted to rent a private beach chair close to the port, but I keep seeing that they might be closed. Are the beaches and restaurants by the pier open in early November? If not, what would be some other nice options for my day there?

Too cold for beaching it -take coastal train to Antibes or Nice -and explore those neat places - not much in Cannes except glitzy yachts and hotels. Or take a bus to St-Paul-du-Vence, a classic ancient dreamy hill town for the day.

Cruise ship no doubt has excursions too - forget about Monaco, a city few seem to really like.

I was in Cannes in early December a few years ago, several of the beach restaurants were open, we ate on the terrace which was level with the beach, the sun was wonderful. A few people were on the beach, our grandkids played in the sand and waded in the water while the adults had various beverages.

Just go check it out, the beach is fairly close to the old port. Not sure where your ship will come in but the Cannes seafront is fairly small, lots of taxis around but you may not need one.
