This is the info for Ottawa but I assume deals are available for other cities too. I tried a booking and found excellent routings, via both Montreal and Toronto, for $852, a shade less than the advertised minimum:

The sale is valid on departures Mondays-Thursdays.

I thought I saw sales with Air France as well. Pity we booked a while ago for way too much!

AF has a sale right now for flts from the US. Lasts 1 day.

When are you going, if I may ask?

We booked Istanbul with KLM (AF matches fares, as they own KLM) for April 2012.

But that was in December, 2011. Prices then were excellent.

Looking now for Paris at the end of Sept/ start of October. But the flights are high. I'd like to wait until August, when there is usually a KLM/ AF sale.

KLM often has very good prices before the new year.( in Dec!)
We got excellent fare for April/May. for Italy
I am waiting( hopping) someone will have a sale for summer dates.

We fly into Amsterdam 5/1 and out of London 5/26. Next year I won't book so early! We like the economy comfort seats for better sleep on the way over so usually try to book early to be assured of getting one.

I saw the Air France sale yesterday, and plugged in a few dates for fun, but unfortunately I can't get away in April/May. Thanks to the new rules and regs (at least I think that's why), the dates you can search for are restricted, so the advertised sale price is the....drum roll...actual price of the fare!! Down to the dollar, including taxes/fees, etc.

As much as I can't take advantage now, it gave me hope for "decent" fares again.
