Can you still buy Tower of London tickets at tube stations?

I heard you can't buy them at Tower Hill tube station anymore and was wondering if all the tube stations had stopped selling them. Thanks.

We bought our tickets at TFL at Victoria. From what I understand you can buy them at other tube stations, just not at Tower Hill tube station.

If you are travelling with another adult & you have a Travelcard then you can get a BOGOF through www.2for1entry.co.uk - saving £16

I've noticed a distinct lack of any reference to the possibility on the Tower of London website, where there used to be, so it may well be that this has been dropped. However, I don't know for certain (and don't feel inclined to queue to find out!). You could try contacting TfL to get the definitive answer (they're pretty good about replying to customer queries online):

Certainly, Transport for London has been cutting back on ticket office staff since the introduction of Oyster, and an extraneous service like this would have been an obvious candidate to be dropped.

To Alan Row - yep, I will have a 7 day travelcard (loaded on an Oyster) -- I was told to keep the receipt to confirm that my dates are valid. I already printed coupons for the Tower from the 2for1 site -- but what's a BOGOF?

Alan Row - never mind - I just Googled BOGOF - "Buy one get one free" - who knew there was a search engine for acronyms? Amazing.

Bingo! It seems they are still selling advance tickets for the Tower and some other popular attractions at TfL Travel Information Centres:

I could well be wrong about this, but I think you have to go to the main ticket lines to use the 2for1 coupons.

Not sure if this applies to the 2 for 1....but our family of four bought our Tower of London tickets in August 07 at the Heathrow Tube ticket station (is that the TFL?). Worked just fine.
