Has any one traveled with Mountain Travel Sobek, Wilderness Travel or Cross Country International? Please help, can't seem to decide.

BCT Scenic Walking does both of those areas. It's a good company. I took their walking tours tin the Dordogne and in Provence.

I've travelled with Wilderness Travel on their Irish tour. It's run by Con Moriarty, who also has his own company, The Hidden Ireland, that has different itineraries from the Wilderness Travel trip. I can highly recommend Wilderness, they are a great company, that arranges wonderful trips, and their very conciencious about the details.

I also highly, highly recommend Con--he's a wonderful trip leader, and you'll have a blast if you go on one of his trips. He takes care of you 24 hours a day, and can arrange just about anything--and he seems to know everyone and everything to do with Ireland!

I know several people who've had great experiences with Mountain Travel Sobek. I am going to Tuscany with Wilderness Travel in October, so glad to hear good things about them.

I did a Provence hiking trip almost three years ago through a company called Active Journeys. They turned out to be in this case the booking agent for a British company called Headwaters and I was the only American, which was fine with me. We stayed in one place, it was only five or six days and everything was wonderful. There were only nine of us and I loved the group. If you're looking to spend less than the other companies, this was a real bargain (under $1000). Email me if interested and I can give you more info.
