Hi Michelle. Marcello, a kind artist, has rooms in his locanda (an Italian inn), the Locanda Garibaldi, for just a wee bit more than your asking price: 70 euros. At least that's what they were a year ago; we stayed there for five nights and loved it. And the locanda is located a cobblestone's throw south of Il Campo, at Via Giovanni Dupre 18. Tel #: 0577-284-204. The only problem is that he takes reservations no more than one week in advance (and no credit cards either), but it's a place to consider. Good luck!

We stayed at the Alma Domus, which is a convent in the heart of town. Aside from the 11:30 curfew (and the religious art, and, well, the nuns), you really can't tell you're not in a regular budget hotel - and a nice one, at that.
It was around $60 Euro for a double, which was decent in size. The highlight is that many of the rooms have balconies that look out over a valley in the town and the duomo. Great place, great price.
