Can you locate this picture in Greece?

I've posted this picture earlier thinking it was Corfu, but when I Google other pictures of Corfu, it looks somehow different.

Sorry...can't help. Beautiful picture!

I know, right?

It's Parga.

A beautiful coastal town in Epirus, not far from Corfu.

That looks more like somewhere in the Italian Riveria than Greece. Photo reminds me of Comogli.

PetroB3, you guessed it! Thanks. How come this beautiful town isn't famous yet?

Pepper, that's what I thought at first, Pepper, but if you look closely the houses look undeniably Greek.
Ligurian houses tend to have different/flatter roofs.

It actually is famous, in the summer it's filled with Greek & Italian tourists. It's a touristically developed place with hotels, tavernas, cafes, bars and has quite a lot of beautiful beaches around to explore (Bella Vraka beach for instance). There actually is a really nice beach right behind the castle-hill of Parga, so you can literally walk to the beach from the town.

You can also explore the Acheron river as a day-trip, according to Greek Mythology the river that leads to the underworld... It's extremely beautiful though, despite its dark character.

Been there 2 summers ago, great place.

Amazing! Good posting.

Parga is an amazing small city located in the Region of Epirus, one of most beautiful areas of Greece, but also less known abroad.
The coast from the city of Preveza in the southern end of Epirus up to Sivota in the north has great sandy beaches, especially around Parga and Sivota.

I spent many summers in the small village of Sivota, south of Igoumenitsa, which has many small sandy beaches all around , some accessible by car and some others by boat.

As Petros mentioned, the whole area is ideal for day trips, best with a rental car. You can even visit the capital city of Epirus Ioannina, located on a lake and from there the mountain village of Metsovo, both about 1 hour drive from Sivota.

Parga IS famous, may be not with the people in this forum, but that means nothing.
It's famous for it's beaches. Similar towns with similar houses can be folund in many areas of Greece, however.

Loacker,
On June 5, you posted that same website. You were comparing the huge modern hotel there (which you found beautiful) to the "slum city of Positano" on the AC. I guess you forgot that you had posted about it before. I am not much for big modern hotels when you can stay in small locally owned places, but the town in the picture is very pretty.

Sassafrass, I do not care for the hotel in the link. I was drawing a comparison between Corfu and Positano, and I mistakenly posted that pic thinking it was Corfu. Turns out it's Parga.

But still, architecturally speaking, it's much more beautiful than Positano, in my opinion.
