Can you leave luggage at Pisa station?
 

We are travelling by train from Nice to Florence in mid July. The train stops at Pisa on the way. Thinking of going to leaning tower of Pisa while we are here. Only problem is we will have all our luggage. Can we leave this at station? Has anyone done this before and did it work out ok? Also is the actual tower close to station? Can we walkto it from station and what time is tower open to?

The open hours for the Leaning Tower vary by season. You need timed reservations if you want to climb the Tower. Arrive several minutes before your reservation time.

There is luggage storage at the Pisa Centrale station, but I don't know the open hours for this office. Perhaps someone here can provide this info for you.

The Leaning Tower is a 20-25 minute walk from the Centrale station, or you could taxi back and forth.

In early summer, it will get dark around 9 or 9:30. Last train to Florence will be around 10:30.

Trenitalia doesn't list Pisa Centrale's luggage room hours, but prices at stations with this service are the same. You need to allow time to check and retrieve luggage as sometimes there can be lines.
