Hi Noellev13. The pub is the Clachaig Inn - very good place to stop. http://www.clachaig.com/

You will be overwhelmed w/ your options for photos. I have one shot (not uploaded anywhere so I can't link it) w/ the most amazing cloud formation over Rannoch Moor. The left (north) side of the moor is in brilliant sunshine w/ light glinting of the lochans, while the right (south) side is under a massive black cloud w/ almost no light at all. The north side of the cloud formation was like a totally vertical wall - never seen anything like it.

Thank you Janis..hope to see that pic one day..I can tell with every pic I research, this will be unlike anything I've seen :) It's a bit overwhelming but in a wonderful way!

Janis...that's it...I could not remember the name and I usually write that in my journal. Thanks. I think it will be a fun and filling place for the OP to stop. I went to the web page and they say that a sign is now posted at the junction with A82. Makes it that much easier. (Copy that, Noell?)

Umm... Glencoe is on the left, tower, not the right, if one is going west

sheila May 17th, 2012 11:54 AM

I have just had my knuckles rapped and ma back to eat humble pie.

I just looked up a map. I could not under stand how the A82 had moved to
a)the other side of the village, and b) the other side of the glen

I discover that it is my habit to come off at the Clachaig, and come down past the Clachaig on the unclassified road which comes into the village from the north.

Thus, Stu is right. You don't turn left, you turn right.

So sorry.

Well, you never know what those Scots will be up to. Moving roads and glens is child's play, one suspects. :)

Dear Sheila...you are a Scot-lady of sheer grace and honor. Thank you. The OP should raise a glass in your honor at Clachaig.

Coincidentally just found this new gallery pbase, where I post my photos. These were taken on 16 April, looked familiar and sure enough:
