Can you book Uffizi and Academia online?
I've tried calling the reservation service at the Uffizi, 011-39-055-294-883, and after being on hold for a while the call gets disconnected when a message prompts saying "all operators are busy, please call back later."
Any other suggestions for pre-booking these two? |
I always book these through my hotel; send your hotel an e-mail and they will do it for you free.
There is no way to book on-line. |
Yes, you can book tickets on-line for both of these museums.
One place is Select Italy at http://selectitaly.com/museums.php?city_id=16 Cost is about $20.70 USD per person, but you don't have to stand in the 2 hour line at the Uffizi. There are a couple of other places where you can book tickets also. [email protected] You can check with your hotel as ekscrunchy says also. |
Right, you can use a broker. But it will be more expensive than having the hotel make the call for you.

We go to Italy a couple of times a year (our family is there) and always make reservations through the hotel. It works very well. They have even gotten us in before opening time when other people haven't been able to book reservations through the reservations number.

Even if I'm staying at a B&B, can they make the reservations for me?
I'll be at the B&B Cassia. |
Hi V,
Yes, your B&B cn call for you. All that is needed is a name, the number of reservations and the time. You didn't call between 12:00 and 2:00 PM Florence time, did you? ((I)) |
ira, it couldn't have been between those times as I usually get up at about 9 am ET.
|
Hi V,
Get up verrrrry early. :) Call them about 03:00 EST. ((I)) |
Hey Everybody...I'm renting an apartment for my trip to Florence. Has anyone ever reserved Uffizi through the owner of the apartment? Or has anyone heard that this is possible? I'm also getting my call dropped when trying to do it by phone.
Grazie |
I got my B&B to make reservations for me. They're tellling me than on Monday, April 9th most museums are closed, which means I will have to go to both Uff & Aca the same day. They booked the Uffizzi for me for the 10th at 12 noon. How much time you think I would need there? How much time is required for Academia?
|
If you have to go to both on the same day, 1-2 hours at Academia all together, and 3-4 hours at Uffizi. It also depends on how much you like art. I like to go over all rooms so I get a little taste of every style. But, you can do it in let's say 1 hours at Academia just for David, and 2 hours at Uffizi just for the most famous ones, venere, and such....

Hello All,
I goofed around with emailing the B&B at which we will be staying in Florence regarding tickets for Accademia and Uffizi. I just got around to it about an hour ago. Of course it's almost midnight in Italy. I have not tried to call for reservations for either of the above. But, just out of curiousity, I just searched several websites that have been mentioned and it appears that the day I'm interested in is mostly not available. Do you think my hotel will have a better chance since the websites are probably ticket resellers? If I had to pick one over the other...I'd have to see David, but I'd like to get some opinions. Thanks to all...I'm leaving in one week and I'm starting to panic about all of the things that are not in order. :-) |
