Can someone suggest a great place to stay in Florence in May?

I am having trouble finding a place to stay in Florence. Any suggestions and web sites/phone numbers would be helpful. Thanks!

I and lots of other posters like the Hotel Bellettini annex; great location, nicely furnished, friendly staff, and reasonable. Run a search for it on here and see what others have to say.

We love Hotel Porta Faenza (77 Via Faenza)Tel(055)284119/Fax (055) 210101... Madame Zarb is a Canadian ex-pat and very useful source for tips about Florence-great rates (sorry can't find e-mail).Do check out Trattoria Antellesi at 9 Via Faenza while you are there for some genuine Florentine dishes (wild boar stew, peccorino and pear salad, superb local wine list)

what's your price range and for how many people? for a moderately priced hotel, check out hotel casci, www.hotelcasci.com.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will be sure to check out their availability. I am traveling in a group of 4 and it seems to be a challenge to find 2 double rooms in the same place for May.

We loved Hotel Villa Belvedere. It's a bit outside the city, but has great views, large, clean rooms, a beautiful garden, and a helpful, friendly owner/staff and terrific St. Bernard.<BR>Paula
