Can someone please confirm that there is storage for luggage in Pompeii?
 

If you have recently been to Pompeii on the way to or from Sorrento with your luggage, please confirm that there is luggage storage at either the train station or the entrance to the site.
I would also like to know how much they charge per bag?
I am wondering whether we should rent a car from Naples to Sorrento for a day. If there is left luggage facilities in Pompeii we need not rent a car and may be go by train instead. Also is there a shuttle that goes from Naples airport to Pompeii?

Yes, the Curreri shuttle bus from the Naples airport stops at Pompeii before reaching Sorrento. Travel time from the airport to Pompeii is 25 minutes and cost is 10€. Do not go into to Naples unless the bus schedule isn't convenient (departs the airport about every two hours). After clicking English, click bus routes, not shuttle.

Kybourbon, looks like the timimgs are 8:30 am to 7 pm at Pompeii.

Our flight reaches Naples at 9:25 am. The Curreri shuttle bus leaves for Pompeii at 11 am. A few questions...

How long should I budget to clear customs etc and make it to the shuttle bus stop?

Are there any other shuttle bus companies going to Pompeii?

Are there any tours that go from Naples to Herculaneum and then to Pompeii before going to Sorrento?

Alternately, the Circumvesuviana train leaves at 10:11 am and the next one leaves 10:41 am. from NAPOLI GARIBALDI (STAZIONE CENTRALE F.S.) to (Pompeii) Sorrento.

I believe there is an Alibus that takes you from outside Arrivals to Piazza Garibaldi (for 3 Euros) which is where the main train station is located. The train stops at Ercolano before it gets to Pompeii. You get off at Ercolano and walk to Herculaneum if interested. How long a walk is this? Is it possible to see both Herculaneum and Pompeii the same day and how long to see each?
Is 3-4 hours enough time to see Pompeii. There is no Curreri shuttle that goes from Pompeii to Sorrento so I suppose we will have to take a train?

Yes, you can take the Alibus to the train station in Naples, but there is no luggage storage at Herculaneum so you wouldn't be able to stop there unless you stored your luggage at the Naples train station.

The Curreri shuttle is the only shuttle I know of between Naples airport and Sorrento. It makes about 5 very brief stops with Pompeii being one. I would think by the time you got your luggage and outside of the airport, it would be time for the 11:00 shuttle.

Are you staying in Naples or Sorrento?

I am staying in Sorrento for 3 N. I need to research if we can do both Herculaneum and Pompeii w/o renting a car and make it to Sorrento by evening.
If any one has done this, please let me know...
