Do you think the gypsies will take his washcloth?

Faina Jul 1st, 2002 08:58 AM

Thinking of this walk... how many pairs of shoes should I pack? Do I need sleepers for overnight camping?

Are we getting a sponsor for this walk?

Tired Jul 1st, 2002 09:10 AM

I don't think it's a good idea to camp (gypsies you know), besides there is that cheap 4 star hotel. Will the pup get pooped out from this trip?

suzanne Jul 1st, 2002 09:22 AM

If the pup poops, where is it appropriate to change his diaper?

traveller Jul 1st, 2002 09:31 AM

Easy one: on the 21" carry on of your co-walker.

Poop in Paris noooo problemooo

Pup Jul 1st, 2002 10:04 AM

Hi,pup here.
Mama is bringing me to Paris and I am walking to London to see the Queen.I hear she likes tiaras.
I am wearing dark brown.
I am dark brown.
Mama picks up my poop for me here at home,so she said she will do it in Paris too.
I like sitting at outdoor cafes, usually the waiters like me and give me water and sneak treats to me.
I like waiters.
Do you think French waiters will like me?
I know English waiters will like me.The English like all pups.
BTW,I speak French so the language will be no problem. They call me a French poodle sometimes.
My problem is-how do I get there from here?
Mama wants to dress me up like a kid and buy me a ticket on the plane so I don't have to ride in a cage with mamas many many suitcases full of shoes.
What do you think?
I weight 60 pounds.

ohmygod Jul 1st, 2002 10:14 AM

I am sitting here at work laughing so hard people must think I am nuts.
For sure I think Pup should dress like a kid and sit in the cabin. If he is going to walk from London to Paris the poor pooch deserves some comfort. Maybe if he is nice to the flight attendants he can get upgraded to business or (gasp) first class.

Uncle Sam Jul 1st, 2002 10:18 AM

It's a good thing the pup is walking to Paris. Pity the poor pooch if he had been walking to Korea for the World Cup.

Would have had to teach his owner 57 ways to wok your dog!

US

luggageman Jul 1st, 2002 11:02 AM

How much luggage is the pup taking? Will a 21" carry on be enough for the tiara, pink outfits, black underwear(underware), white sneakers, and washclothes? Should he keep his ATM card in a moneybelt, next to the black underwear?

Solesister Jul 1st, 2002 11:13 AM

Pup's mama needs to make sure she teaches him the double air kiss before he gets too far along on his journey, makes meeting other walkers and waiters so much more comfortable than sniffing them

Uncle Sam Jul 1st, 2002 11:52 AM

Either the double air kiss or the air guitar. The pup can always earn his keep by playing air guitar in some kind of pubby joint!

US

A Thought Jul 1st, 2002 11:58 AM

Do you think the original poster really meant (literally) if you could walk between London & Paris? Maybe the pup will create a sidewalk or something along the tracks and become famous.

TatethePup Jul 1st, 2002 12:42 PM

I think that I will walk the famous walks of other pups in Paris.
You do know that Hemingway had his pup in Paris when they stayed on the Left Bank.
And what about Coco Chanel??? She had her own little Poodles.
I know my mama would love to see me in Chanel!
I will walk up all those stairs and see the gargoyles on the top of that big church.Where do gargoyles come from?
I can lift my leg along the Champs Ellysses!
I am sure mama will put some of her fancy French perfume on me then none of my friends back at home will recognise me.
In London I think I will go see where Mr Churchhill used to live.He had a bull dog.Of course they aren't as pretty as me but I am sure he was a great dog, look at the way his master behaved!
Mama wants to take me to Italy too.Can I walk there?

elvira Jul 1st, 2002 12:42 PM

Is the pup old enough to travel? Will he bark and disturb the other passengers? If he sits behind me, will he continually kick the back of the seat? Should he be on a leash or in a carrier?

Will he be able to deal with the hand-held shower without soaking the entire bathroom? Where can he hide a secret money belt? Will he know how much to tip the maid? Do you tip waiters who sneak a pup a treat, and how much? What are the top ten must-sees in London and Paris for the pooch?
