Can I get directions online from Piazzale Roma to our apartment?

We are renting an apartment in Venice in June and the map the owner sent is too hard to follow. Is there a way to find the walking directions online - directions from Piazzale Roma to the apartment? I asked the owner for written directions and she said to look on the map! The map lookls like a plate of spaghetti with Piazzale Rome marked and the apartment marked but nothing marked in between! Yikes.

www.mappy.com

Click on Italia, then click on Itinerario and enter Piazzale Roma and then your apartment address.

You can try putting the address in Google maps. When the balloon appears on the map you right click on your mouse and one of the choices is directions from here.
You may be able to then have directions from Piazzale Rome to the address.

I did this to get the GPS coordinates of the house in Italy which is out in the country and then streets and roads are not sign posted. The owner sent directions also but if there are not signposts how am I to know where to turn. Oh. And the house has no address but she sent me a Google map with a balloon on it and I did right click.

In addition to Sher's suggestion, why don't you post the link to the apartment here, assuming there's some kind of map on the website, and maybe someone can help you at least find the neighborhood.

We are staying at Ai Pugni but I believe I meet the rep at Santa Margarita square. (I am at work and doing this from memory) Thank you.

Try maps.google.com.

Click on 'Get Directions' just under the name Google in the upper left corner. Pick the walking man pictogram (third in the three modes of transport) and type in the boxes from 'Piazzale Roma Venice Italy' and to 'Campo Santa Margherita Venice Italy.' Click on the gray box 'Get Directions.' The result will be a walking route between the two points.

I forgot to mention that I always find the most difficult aspect is finding the correct direction to set off in at the start. If necessary, ask someone to point you the right way to Fondamenta Cossetti (the first step of the route).

I looked at the link you posted and there is a link to a PDF map where the route is clearly marked - perhaps you haven't seen it?

Great neighbourhood - we were nearby for 2 weeks in February...

It looks like the easiest route - especially if you have luggage - would be to take the #1 vaporetto from Pzle. Roma to C'a Rezzonico. From there, just walk straight ahead, through Campo San Barnaba, stay to the right along the canal, and cross the 1st bridge just beyond the campo. Walk straight ahead from the bottom of the bridge, and you're there. About a total of 2 minutes walk from getting off the vaporetto.

According to Google, it's 600 meters walking. Less than 10 minutes.
